Industrial power of the state is determined by metallurgical production scale to a large extent. All sectors of the national economy need metal: a farmer\u2019s plow, a surgeon\u2019s scalpel, spaceships, and the armor shield of the Motherland are made of it, writes N.A. Nazarbayev in his book \u201cSteel Profile of Kazakhstan\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Metallurgical integrated plant of Temirtau is the largest enterprise with a full metallurgical cycle in the republic. Over the years of independence of Republic of Kazakhstan, new workshops and production facilities have been put into operation at the enterprise, and old ones have been modernized. The exhibition hall reproduces the metallurgical production vibes in miniature. In the center of the exhibition hall, on the right side, a model of the metallurgical integrated plant, where all main workshops are presented. Initially, processing of iron ore raw materials and coking of coal are held at sintering and coke-chemical production.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agglomerate and coke are loaded in the blast furnace, where cast iron is obtained under the influence of high temperature during chemical transformations. Steel is smelted in converter furnaces, where carbon is burned out of liquid iron, improving its quality. Liquid steel is fed to a mod of continuous casting machine, where slabs are obtained which will be rolled in sheet-rolling shops to a given thickness.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the center of the hall, on the left side, models of slabs and finished products are presented. There is also a sample of working clothes for a worker at JSC ArcelorMittal Temirtau.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2000, in the days of 40th<\/sup> anniversary of Kazakhstan Magnitka, Nursultan Nazarbaev took part in anniversary cast iron smelting. The showcases present photographs of the event and the note that the first President left in the blast furnace logbook: \u00abReduce cost, increase the volume, improve quality.
